Cours LIT4545 – Survey of English Literature

This course introduces students to major literary works in English and explores the social, political and ideological contexts presented in the texts. Major literary movements in English language. Study of texts from key authors from different literary periods : Anglo-saxon and Middle-English, Renaissance, seventeenth century, romanticism, twentieth century. Analysis of social, political and ideological transformations presented by these texts.
