Cours DLS3110 – Internship 3: Teaching English as a Second Language in Secondary Schools

This internship course aims to prepare students to manage an ESL classroom at the secondary level. It also seeks to strengthen the connection between theory and practice, enhance students’ reflective analysis skills, and develop their ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse student needs and classroom contexts.

This internship course prepares students to appropriate ESL disciplinary programs at the secondary level. It emphasizes planning effective teaching and learning sequences, using strategies that promote student engagement, and adapting teaching to address classroom diversity. Areas of focus include classroom management, creating supportive learning environments, assessing student competencies, and fostering collaboration among colleagues, families, and the broader school community.

Le cours inclut 12 séminaires de 3 heures, avant, pendant et après le stage.

Stage d’une durée de 30 jours consécutifs (6 semaines). Prise en charge de la tâche d’enseignement à 75% après quelques jours d’observation.
