Cours DLS1110 – Internship 1: Introduction to Teaching English as a Second Language
Objectifs
This internship course aims to familiarize students with the school system and culture in which they will work as ESL teachers.

In this internship course, students will study the ESL programs and observe their being implemented by their cooperating teacher during their internship placement. The course also focuses on developing a reflective approach by encouraging students to observe ESL teachers and critically analyze their different teaching practices. Emphasis is placed on understanding the relationship between theory and practice.
Additionally, students will design or adapt a classroom activity prior to their internship, implement it during their placement, and evaluate its effectiveness afterwards.
Modalité d’enseignement
Stage d’une durée de 8 jours (3 journées aux mois de janvier et de février et cinq jours consécutifs au mois de mars)
Le cours inclut 5 séminaires de 3 heures, avant et après la semaine de stage.
Conditions d’accès
